在隊伍行走靠近鐵道時，有個60多歲的學員，說著 : 小時候生活真艱苦，要去雙溪時都用走鐵路去，我都是赤腳走在鐵軌上，從貢寮走到雙溪，那時候火車2小時才一班，走的快時還遇不到火車。後來年輕時到台北打拼，工作事業做的蠻成功的，那時後常常上酒家應酬，曾經一個晚上就喝掉40多萬，現在回到故鄉，過著簡單的生活，連煙酒都戒了,,,
