古蹟要修繕，這是民宅又是古蹟，有個兩難問題，官方怕有圖利問題，主人則有財力問題，因為用古法修繕花費過於龐大，所以才會像目前看到的屋頂，真的好可惜。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 屋主們仍住在裡面，很親切招呼我們進去一起用餐，盛情難卻、就好奇地進屋子參觀，並且坐下被款待了自家種的茶。可能因為很新鮮所以用茶壺隨便煮也好喝，後來我們買了一些比較少被介紹的熟茶回家。但被招待晚餐實在很不好意思。
從內部可以看到老屋結構有被屋主一家人很珍惜地保留下來。屋主家族的人情味也讓我留下很深刻的回憶。以後如果到坪林會再來跟老先生老太太打招呼！
