★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is now officially my new favorite pho spot in town. First impression: clean, bright, casual, staffs with friendly faces. Pho is decent and fresh, large portions and reasonable price. Highly recommend this place to all the pho lovers. Seriously one of the best Vietnamese restaurants in Taipei. I come here at least once a week.

My wife and I both had chicken curry, which tasted like it was pre-made and microwaved in a plastic bag. The curry sauce was very watery, and the chicken i cannot remember much of. My rice was a bit hard, a bit undercooked. And so was my wife’s rice. Honestly, being in Taiwan, local Asian themed restaurants should be able to serve properly cooked rice. It is the main staple. I cannot imagine how they got the rice so wrong, never mind the chicken curry.
I want to like this place, because there are not too many Vietnamese restaurants nearby. It was good on opening week, but the quality really took a nose dive since. The lady working there is nice.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Didn't get food poisoning, but both of us got runny stomachs after eating here. Mireover, the dishes were okay but none of them good or memorable. It was as if they have a machine which removes flavor from dishes. The tom yam seafood pho was like a Thai tom yam soup minus 80% of its flavor. Same for the chicken salad. Chicken wings soso and curry like a Japanese curry minus 70% flavor. No fresh mint anywhere, no fresh corriander or basil ... no fresh herbs at all, not even on the salad. Dissapoinnting.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had pho as main with a 90NTD upgrade to include a Vietnamese iced coffee with condensed milk and a shrimp green papaya salad. All tasted good, though I had better rice noodles and Vietnamese coffee and at cheaper price elsewhere in New Taipei City. Beef balls were not fresh. The eatery itself is clean and well air-conditioned.
