[Dangerous scenic spot] The Guanying Bridge in Dongshi Town spans the Shalian River (the river in Dongshi Hakka called the river), the only one between the stone wall (now Maoxingli) connecting the east bank and Xiaolipu (now Xinglongli) on the west bank Bridge; Guanying Bridge was founded in the 11th year of Daoguang in the Qing Dynasty (1831). It was originally a wooden bridge. At that time, the monument for the donation of Guanying Bridge was built and the monument for the donation of Guanying Bridge was rebuilt in the 24th year of Daoguang (1844). Currently In front of Guanyingfude Temple beside Guanying Bridge; Guanying Bridge in Dongshi Town It was rebuilt into a cement bridge in 1979 (1990). Dongshi Town used to be called "Dongshijiao". The Shalian River under the Guanying Bridge had a whirlpool of water. The local residents called it "Ganchaitan". According to local legend, in ancient times, there was a Shalian River under the Diaoshen Mountain in Dongshijiao. The bottomless vortex water gathering place is called "Coffin Pool." Most swimmers in the pool are exterminated and rarely survived, hence the name "Coffin Pool." In the old days, the coffin lake was surrounded by cliffs and rocks. There is a steep mound in the lake, which is more than 10 meters high and 200 square meters wide. It is a gathering place for ancient gods to chant poems and sing tea and drink. There are also local residents. It is alleged that the pool is named "Coffin Pool" because it resembles a coffin, but the word "coffin" is inelegant, so the local residents call it a homophonic "ganchai". Under the Guanying Bridge, the Ganchaitan Shalian River is gurgling, and the green mountains and green water complement each other, and the scenery is beautiful and superb. Warning: Many undercurrents in Coffin Lake are notoriously known as murder streams. Drowning deaths have occurred many times. Please do not take children to play.
