Many small temples in Xinzhuang are historical monuments

The Fude Temple in Haishan, according to the word deed during the Jiaqing period, has been recorded in the Di Gong Temple. This temple is reported to be the earliest Fude Temple in the Xinzhuang area. It was originally the residence of Xinzhuang Xingzhibao, Haishantou and Yingpan generation. According to local elders, after the flood occurred in Xinzhuang Street, the former land in the shrine drifted to the vicinity of the current Guangfu Palace. After being picked up by the residents, the Fude Shrine in Xinzhuang was built for worship; but the earliest antiquities that can be tested are those in the palace. An incense burner was left in the third year of Xianfeng (1853). The earlier historical records are no longer available, leaving only the legend of the local elders. The current site of the Fude Palace and the goddess enshrined in the palace were remodeled and sculpted after the restoration. At present, the Fude Palace on the eighth day of the lunar calendar holds a grand celebration to celebrate the birthday of the goddess. At this time, the land public in the Fude Temple in Xinzhuang will also return to participate in the ceremony of the palace. This seems to confirm the credibility of the local legend and trace the order of the two Fude Temples. (Xinzhuang City Records, 1998)
