Land Father's Compassion

The land god is one of the common gods in Chinese folk beliefs. It is mainly popular in Han areas, and some ethnic groups influenced by Han culture also have beliefs. The land god belongs to the local protector god in folk beliefs, and is a good ghost god with merit; in mainland China, during and before the Republic of China, there were scenes of worshipping the land god in places where Han people lived. In traditional Chinese culture, offering sacrifices to the land god means offering sacrifices to the earth. In modern times, it often means praying for blessings, seeking wealth, safeguarding safety, and guaranteeing agricultural harvests. The land god is also a lower-ranking god among Taoist gods and a god who is closer to the people. On the second and sixteenth day of each month, the tooth-making day is the sacrificial day of the land god. Among the folk beliefs in Taiwan, the true monarch of Xuan Tan and the god of merit (the god of land) are the gods of wealth and patron saint of companies and trading houses. Customs have penetrated to this day. The day when the true monarch of Xuan Tan visits visitors on the fifth day of the first lunar month is the day of construction; At the end of December 16th, the Tooth Day, the tooth sacrifice day at the end of the year of the God of Land, is the day when businesses or institutions entertain their employees.
