★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was there in January. So it was about 20°, it was cloudy and the tide had receded to reveal the reef.
I can't really rate the swimming possibilities, but i chased crabs and found hermit crabs super cute. I think locals might also have been looking for oysters.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A beautiful sand beach at a stone's throw from Tamsui. Great for a walk. It is disappointing that, as others pointed out, swimming is for some reason not allowed. The narrow step of forested dunes between the beach and the main road contains interesting plant life, but from time to time unfortunately also some strange people in various states of undress. Best not let your kids wander around in then by themselves.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A good place to relax yourself and enjoy the clam and quite music of the Sea waves. You can see lot of people coming the neighbourhood to collect the fishes and shells which is trapped in the stones during high tide. It's also a little advanture to walk through the stones to the other end. And please be careful about the slippery rocks.
