★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's indeed soft and fluffy as what other reviews here show but flavor is little bit on the bland side, not unlike the namesake of the place Thamshui (Bland Water).

Ordered the original and the one with cheese. Personally I like the original one more but both were very good. Both were very soft and fresh. The sugar level was just to my liking.
The negative:
The only downside is the manager (I believe), the lady with glasses and not wearing the black uniform was very rude. Once we paid she quickly rushed us out, not even allowing her employee to help finish packaging the cakes we bought.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Must buy when you come visit Tamsui. The cake with cheese adds a little bit salty taste to the cake. Sounds weird but adds another layer of flavor. Long lines. But they do have another location down the street to the left in a smaller road, no lines. Same company so no need to wait in line here.
