During the Second World War, Liu Chuanping led the 10th Army of the Japanese Army and invaded China's Hangzhou, Shanghai, and Nanjing. At the beginning of 1945, Liuchuan was sick, and it was too late to see Japan defeated and surrendered. After the war, the [Zhongling Tower] stone monument was destroyed. The bird houses and stone lanterns in front of the tower have disappeared. The base of the stone monument was destroyed. The stone was broken and abandoned. Now it is re-erected in Zhongshan Park. There is an inscription on the back of the stone, mixed with Chinese and Japanese, and the writing is gradually blurred. It is a memorial to the officers and men of the second squadron of the First Infantry of Taiwan. The deeds of dereliction of duty are unclear and should be related to the Battle of the Atayal.
