頭城鎮上的這間媽祖廟，因為歷史悠久又香火鼎盛，加上設有管理委員會，所以有資金可以添購倉庫。這間倉庫的位置，剛好就在媽祖廟的正後方。媽祖廟有個後門，平常不開放；因為，兩者相聚很近，只隔一條中庸街，廟方人員就可以方便的在倉庫和媽祖廟兩頭跑。這間倉庫，對於慶元宮媽祖廟來說，相當重要。平時，頭城慶元宮媽祖廟的誦經團，可以把一些佛經放在倉庫裏。遇到廟會活動舉辦期間，這間倉庫還發揮廚房的功能，一些志工或委員會先把素齋煮好了，再拿到前面的廟庭去給信徒信眾們分享，祈求平安。

Some volunteers or committees cooked Su Zhai first, and then took it to the front temple court to share with believers and pray for peace.
