大福補天宮 - Section 6

The Nuwa Temple, located in Zhuangwei Township, Yilan County, was founded in the eighth year of Daoguang (1828). In May of the eighth year of Daoguang (1828), the village boy picked up a statue of a god on the seashore with the six characters "Zhejiang Nuwa Empress" engraved on the bottom. It was enshrined in Caoliao near No. 126 near 14 neighbors of Dafu Village after a public meeting. At its peak, the villagers decided to build a wooden temple in the center of the village. In the first year of Xianfeng (1851), Toucheng Kangyao and Chen Dongli of Dafu Village donated the existing temple sites, which were prepared by the gentry Chen Wei, Chen Sai and Chen Dongli. They were completed on May 9th of the same year and entered the temple. That year the temple was changed to face east. The temple was destroyed by a typhoon in 1922. Baozheng Chen Hai, Chen Zhenkun, Chen Zhushan, Dai Chen Jinwang and others raised funds for construction. In 1964, Butian Palace was damaged by Typhoon Ober. The village chief Chen Tiaohui, villager representatives Huang Ashui and Chen Shunshui prepared a new temple. In 1965, the bell and drum tower, hatchback and archway were added. The apse was added in 1990, and the construction was completed in 6 years. On June 2, 2002, the temple began construction of a cultural building used as a dining, lodging, and cultural building for pilgrims to promote culture, education, and emergency relief. It raised NT$160 million to build it. The temple recognized the Nvwa Empress Christmas as the ninth day of the fifth month of the lunar calendar. The goddess Nuwa found during the Daoguang period was called "Auntie". The statue of Lord Nuwa in the town hall of the houdian is as high as four feet and six inches. It is a custom-made statue brought back from Fujian in April 1990. Umbrella industry will make sacrifices during the Lunar New Year. On the twentieth day of the first month of the lunar calendar, a day-to-day event is held.

The parking lot is very large. When we checked into the Pilgrim Building, because the room was too humid and smelly, the waiter was very active and immediately helped us change the room. The overall environment is clean!
