這個漁人故事館的前身為謝忠明老師自有之漁獲加工料理室，早期有養蝦、養九孔，並直接加工、包裝外銷至日本。為延續宜蘭在地養殖漁業昔日的輝煌，並推廣漁業知識及產業的發展，孩子們返鄉來一起帶動地方產業發展。

This fisherman's story museum was formerly known as Mr. Xie Zhongming's own catch processing and cooking room. In the early days, there were shrimp farming and nine holes, which were directly processed and packaged for export to Japan. In order to continue the former glory of the local aquaculture fishery in Yilan, and to promote the development of fishery knowledge and industry, the children returned home to drive the development of local industries.
