The temple was built in 18511 in the first year of Xianfeng in the Qing Dynasty. There were 170-year-old historic temples. At that time, local priests jointly raised funds to build temples due to the severe outbreak of the epidemic. Because the power of the gods quickly subsided and the residents were comfortable with agriculture, industry and commerce, the incense was flourishing. Every year, the peasant association worshipped Luodong on March 3, and all towns and villages in Yilan came to worship and participate in the street parade. When I was in elementary school, I lived in Jiushan Village, Dongshan Township. It was about one kilometer away from the temple, and I also loved to join the routine team. Now I’m nearly 80 years old. Remembering the past, I went back to Suao last evening to pray for the world’s suffering from the coronavirus and the suffering of the people. I sincerely pray that your illness will go away as soon as possible, so that the world will be peaceful and the weather will be smooth, sharing a healthy life as the main axis, and be grateful to the gods.
