We came here on a rainy weekend and my god the hotel lobby，room，and vicinity is humid. You can tell from the white fading wall that they did not spend much tym to up keep the hotel from the humidity. The hotel smells moldy. We asked for a demudifier amd thank god they had one. The service was good and very quiet. Dinner was also decent. But the hotel it self is not worth thr market value.

It’s a nice place to accommodation if you are going to International Children's Folklore & Folkgame Festival, Yilan. Just takes a 3 mins walk from the hotel to Dong Shan river park. There are indoor swimming pool and some free facilities in the hotel, but the breakfast is nothing special.

Such a lovely and pretty boutique hotel. The decor and styling is to die for. A morning prance along the chapel and deck area, and you'll already feel like you want to enjoy a laid back morning in another bygone era. I especially liked the printed furniture in the rooms and in the lounge areas. The other facilities like spa, hot spring fountains, cycles on rent, etc are also great. I guess, I just missed having a gym on this property. But apart from that, the place was a class apart. Hope this review helps some of you out there. ?

Great place for relaxing, quaint furniture with super comfortable bed. The view is also nice. Certainly ease me off. Yet, the location is kind of unpleasant, it will be difficult for you to find your way back if you are a traveler going everywhere for food.

Sadly far from our expectations. We booked hearing it was a Shangrila and had high expectations but what we found was a run down hotel desperately in need of renovation. Most of the guest floors fire extinguishers were missing posing a major hazard, the lobby was nice but beyond the lobby was awful. Chairs and lounge seats near the pool were all broken, swings were rusty. The spa looked like it hadn’t been cleaned for a year and the room we had (even it was upgrade) had chipped wood, paint slash on the floor and damaged furniture. I’m shocked they’re allowed to use the Shangrila name. Location is not bad but nearby offers far better options. I feel this is probably a wedding hotel mainly but it really needs some time and money spent to a better level. Seems very popular but I can’t honestly recommend it based on our stay.

It’s an old hotel with a boutique style. Things can they’ll its age, but overall it’s nice and clean. (If You don’t consider the aging part to be dirty) There is quite a few activities you can do after check in. Like fishing, cosplay, hot spring, etc. I’ve stay a night and I think It’s pretty much it, any more than one night I might think it’s boring. Afternoon tea was a disaster, the high tea was not tasty at all. But dinner was great, excellent dishes you can feel the chief is making it with heart. Morning buffee…. Average. Overall I think it’s a nice place to stay for a night with its price.

The receptionist girls were nice and friendly. They had complimentary activities that you could do (cycling-broken bikes, cinema in the evening,), self served coffee and biscuit on the lobby which was lovely. Lobby was quite pretty given the false impression of the rest of the building. Beyond that was utter disappointment. Sun lounging chairs across the outdoor area were broken (almost all of them), Ugly stained tiles on the stairs. Garden area was in terrible state, swings, metal chairs, pillars were all terribly rusty. Very dangerous especially for children! Hot spring pool like everything else about the hotel didn’t look very enticing. Went up to our room only find the corridor leading to our room smelled strongly of smoke, clearly somebody had been smoking in the room. Room was quite spacious with tiny tiny bath tub. However there’s paint splatters on the floor, the wood was badly chipped on fridge furniture, torn lamp shade (easily fixable with a little glue). This was after we got upgraded, couldn’t imagine what the room would have been like without the upgrade. Worse still, the fire extinguisher near the elevator had been removed, which raises a major safety concern, earlier that week 6 people had just died in a building fire in Taichung. We reported this but clearly they didn’t care, a day later when we left it had still not been replaced! The whole hotel looked rundown and desperately in need for maintenance. We could see the potential in this place but it needs a huge amount of work. After such a disappointment we realized that this hotel was not even a part of Shangri-la group. Just masquerading under the same name. Should have checked the website sooner! Stayed on March 2022
