The foundation of this palace was built in the 11th year of Tongzhi in the Qing Dynasty (1872). It was a thatched house with earth corner walls and bamboo tube beams. It was renamed "Ding'an Palace" by adding wood carvings and cutting and sticking art. The dragon niche of Ding’an Palace enshrines Guanyin Buddha, the main hall enshrines the Mother of Heaven (Mazu) and the Three Officials, etc. The tiger niche has a tablet inscribed with the words "Qingying, the National Treasure of the Forest Mansion". Enshrining the Zhaoji Reclamation Master Lin Guobao ("Linbaochunzhen" is the joint cultivation of Lin Guobao and Lin Xiuchun for irrigating farmland), who summoned the tribe from Liuzhangli in Zhubei to cultivate Donggua Mountain. The plaque in the palace is made of mosaic tiles, and the side of the bird is similar to Corinthian pillars. The combination of Chinese and Western without conflict makes me amazed at the master's design!
