★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 由耶穌會柏世安神父募款籌建，司方濟修士設計監造，1972年啓用，象徵著［聖父、聖子、聖靈］三位一體的中國八角亭設計的聖堂，象徵真福八端及中華八德，也是教區立案的耶穌聖心朝聖地。
Funded by Jesuit Bossian, and was designed and supervised by Monk Sifangji. Opened in 1972, it symbolizes the sanctuary of the Chinese octagonal pavilion [Holy Father, Son, and Holy Spirit]. It is also a pilgrimage site for the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

カトリック教会はほとんどヨーロッパ式建築だが、このカトリック教会は、1969年、ローマ教皇パウロ6世がローマ教皇庁??で行った「第2バチカン公会議」に発表された「Ad Petri cathedram」（ペトロの席にて）に従って、初めて台湾式のカトリック教会が建てられた。
建築内に、忠孝仁愛信義和平の中華灯籠が掛かっていて、異文化のダイバーシティを表した。
建築自体は中華文化の「天地人」とキリスト教の「三位一体」を表現した。

A Chinese lantern hung in the architecture, representing the diversity of different cultures.
The architecture itself represented the "Tenchi" of Chinese culture and the "Trinity" of Christianity.

I was curious about the building and came to see it. I saw a sign saying that you are welcome to visit and went in to visit. I met a church member who was kind enough to introduce it to me. I was really lucky!
