★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've been coming to this restaurant for at least 20 years. It's famous for the fish ball (with pork) soup and braised pork rice with tea egg. The dining environment is not pretty at all and it's in a small alley where no parking space around. Better come by motorcycle or taxi.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the best place to try fish ball in Hsinchu. Their popular fish ball soup and fish ball soup with meat are worth to stop by. They also sell frozen fish ball for you to cook at home. If you don’t know what to buy during your visit in Hsinchu, here is a good place to shop. Their fish ball soup with meat is $55 and fish ball soup is $40, frozen fish ball is $130/ per pack with about 600g (31/12/2018).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The restaurant has been around for decades. The flavour and texture of their fish ball worth a try. But you'd better take it away rather than eat inside. Because you don't want to eat in a bustling and crowded environment. Mind you, don't drive there since it is located on a narrow alley.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Spit'n''sawdust place in the middle of nowhere that churns out tasty fishballs in a fragrant soup for $40 a time. Everything comes in a cardboard bowl and the cutlery is of the disposable kind.
Fine fining it ain't, hearty cheap and filling food it certainly is.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best place for fish balls in Hsingchu! This place is in a small hidden area and everyone who loves fishballs knows about it! You have to try the fishballs stuffed with meat and the meat bone soup. The minced meat on rice is delicious as well. Try it with a runny fried egg or hard boiled egg and you won't be disappointed. This place is a hidden gem!
