★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 這間廟的來源。原本這裡是平埔族居住地。有不少平埔族墓。後來漢人大量住來，平埔族離開之後留下不少墳墓。大部分墳墓都漢人弄掉，做為田地。直到這裡剩下的一座墳，有一對漢人夫婦正要弄掉這座墳墓，卻在晚上睡覺夢到一個老人，說這裡屬於我，如果你們留下這個墓，我就保佑你們大豐收。夫婦醒來，發現彼此做的夢都一樣，於是決定留墓建廟，就此出現這個冥漠公廟。所以這間廟拜的，其實是一位平埔族先人。
 The origin of this temple. It was originally the residence of the Pingpu people. There are many Pingpu tombs. Later, a large number of Han Chinese lived there, leaving many graves after the Pingpu clan left. Most of the tombs were removed by the Hans as fields. Up to the remaining grave here, a Han couple was about to get rid of the grave, but dreamed of an old man sleeping at night and said that it belongs to me. If you leave this grave, I will bless you with a good harvest. The couple woke up and found that each other had the same dreams, so they decided to stay in the tomb and build a temple. This was the Mingmogong Temple. Therefore, this temple worship is actually an ancestor of the Pingpu clan.
