★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Kingza is a restaurant chain that originated in Kyoto, Japan and is famous for its Gyu-Kaku (牛カツ, fried beef steak). The decor is authentic Japanese style and the staff was attentive and friendly.
However, their food was disappointedly not special at all, especially for their signature Gyu-Kaku dishes, which is supposed to be the best. The fried beef was served in rare and customers can decide how’s the meat is done based on their preference.
The dining experience was interesting but the quality and texture of beef was totally different from the one we had in Japan, far from the standard in our opinion.
We won’t recommend to give it a try since there are better options of Japanese food in Big City.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The set meal was reasonable and taste good! You can share the meal, try different foods and add the rice, salad and soup for free! The staff is really helpful too. Not too pricey and makes you really full. Recommend the set meal when eating for 2 person, especially when it’s your first time and you dont know what to order. I order the set meal and got to try different type of beef, pork and oyster.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A pleasant dining experience in a nice Japanese restaurant. This is a nicely decorated Japanese restaurant with friendly staff. Ordering is done via a tablet that is fixed on the sides of the table. Alternatively you can just scan the at code next to the tablet. I recommend doing that as the text on the screen is hard to read and the ordering process is quite detailed. We ordered the set meal for just over 1000 nt - it came with two main meals a side dish and sodas. I opted for beef with cheese and truffle. My wife choose fried pork and chicken. Both were good - liked mine more (quite cheesy), but my wife felt that hers was a bit bland. The sodas were interesting and made with colourful syrup. Overall everything was good but nothing really stood out. There are other similar restaurants in Big City, but I don’t feel that this is any better or worse then the others I’ve tried. Would I go again? Yes.
