The Beihe Palace is the Douzipu Wanshan Temple. It was rebuilt in the Gengwu Year of 1949. When the construction started, it was planned to build a second floor to worship the Ksitigarbha.
Beihe Palace is located at the intersection of Zhongshan Road and Renyi Road in Zhubei City. At present, there are two buildings in Beihe Palace. The old temple is a one-two-story temple building on the east side. The first floor is dedicated to Wan Shan Ye and the second floor is dedicated to Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva. , The old temple was built in 1979 (1990). At that time, the present director Mr. Lin Qixing and the then villager representative Mr. Zheng Jiang invited the local people from Zhubei Li, Zhurenli, Zhuyili and Taiheli to establish the Beihe Palace. The meaning of the name "Beihe" as the palace lies in 1. The location of the temple is in Zhubei. 2. I hope that local people can regard harmony as the most important thing and unite together. Therefore, each year on the 29th day of the seventh lunar calendar, Si Limin conducts the Purdue ceremony together in Beihe Palace, which is a major local event. The new hall was built in 1985 (1996), and the main building is a temple with a fourth floor and a basement. The basement is called the Buddhist Academy, which is used for the activities of various local associations. It is currently used by the Guoyue Society and the Zhubei Folk Song Research Society. The first floor is called the Temple of the God of Wealth, where the five-way God of Wealth is enshrined. The statue of God of Wealth in the temple was made of copper by a master from Jiangxi in the mainland and covered with pure gold and gold leaf. The statue is six feet three inches tall and three minutes tall, which is also called the first in the province! The second floor enshrines Emperor Guan Sheng, the third floor enshrines Guanyin Bodhisattva, and the fourth floor enshrines the Buddha-Sakyamuni Buddha. On the top floor is a statue of the Ksitigarbha that is known as the tallest in the country, three feet tall and six feet tall! It is the most conspicuous part of Beihe Palace.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's an interesting Buddhist temple, whatever for worshipers or curious. It is right in the middle of the city with no garden to keep its distance from the hustle and bustle of the streets. In fact, we can feel it has been squeezed at that location as the temple goes up with several floors, instead of spanning, keeping small footprint. But this gives an unusual visit as you get through 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th floor, providing a higher view on Renyi road. Every floor is interesting for its design, view on the city, quiet atmosphere and specific deity (especially Guanyin, Guan Sheng, Shakyamuni, revered monk Kṣitigarbha). There is also the large statue on top, which is best seen from outside as it can not be visited.
