The host, Mr. Fan, welcomed the visitors warmly, and acted as a guide in person, which made us flattered. After listening to the family story and his philosophy, I felt very moved to touch my heart. If you can add a "Fan's ancient house welcome" on the roadside, then everyone will know that there is an ancient house and welcome everyone to visit. We are also friends sharing, only to know that the ancient house is open, but without the target, the car is still over-driving.

There is a story about "ten sons and ten conquerors" in the Ping Lin Fan's family in Guanxi. Parent Fan Chaodeng carefully cultivated ten children who graduated from college. Five of them have Ph.Ds and five passed the college entrance examination. He was the chairman of Taiwan Province, the chairman of the Guest Committee, and the Secretary-General of the Judicial Yuan, Fan Guangqun, ranking the ninth. The other two daughters were also educated in colleges and universities in the era of Japanese occupation. Fan Chaodeng is the 17th generation of the Fan family in Taiwan. He is the second child of the 4 brothers. He died at the age of 7 and was raised by his fourth uncle. He has only studied private school for 3 years and knows some Chinese. At the age of 19, he served as the secretary of the Japanese era Baojia (little secretary). His philosophy of cultivating his children is: "To value the virtuous children and grandchildren is better than tens of millions of gold." Fan Chaodeng built the "Gaoping Hall" near his hometown "Yu Qingtang" in the Republic of China in 1919. On the night of its completion, Fan Guangming, the fifth son of Fan Chaodeng, was born. The fifth-year old Fan Guangming graduated from the Department of Agricultural Chemistry at National Taiwan University and developed his own beverages. He emphasized that "the hard thing should be hard, such as bones," and "the soft should be soft, such as blood vessels." He still lives in Gaopingtang. Fan Chaodeng regretted that he did not have the opportunity to go to school. He worked hard to cultivate children and grow up. He loaned about ten Jia fields to Quanye Bank and sent the children one by one to study in Japan. In the Japanese era, the first four brothers of the Fan family all entered Japanese universities. When studying in Japan during the Japanese occupation era, Taiwanese students were all required to change their Japanese names. The family discussed the decision to use the word "Gaoping" from Shanxi, where Fan's ancestral home was born, instead of Fan's surname. The application was approved by the Kansai Household Registration Division, and when it was sent to the superior for review, it was discovered by the Japanese that "So you still miss the ancestors of the Fan family", not allowed! Later, Fan's surname was changed to "Plateau". In order to solve the tuition fees for children studying abroad, around 33 years of the Republic of China, the Fan family's land was almost all pledged, and they were in distress, so they considered selling 10 Jiatian fields to repay the more than 10,000 yuan debt of Quanye Bank. In Japan, on the verge of defeat, in order to raise war funds and issue similar patriotic lotteries, Fan Chaodeng, the secretary of Baojia, bought two of them and won the first special prize of 10,000 yen. At that time, Fan Chaodeng sighed excitedly and said, "You don't have to sell the land." Fan Guangming felt that his father always did good deeds all his life, and it was probably because he was kind and rewarded! Fan Chaodeng devoted himself to cultivating his son to study abroad and the news that he won the first special prize of 10,000 yen. It also appeared in the newspaper. The news said, "Heaven helps Fan Chaodeng!" The geomantic omen of the Gaopingtang ancient house is a topic that gave birth to the tenth son of the Fan family. Gaopingtang is a Japanese-style building. There are often TV programs to discuss filming with them, but the elderly oppose them. The exterior of the house and the interior of the house will not be disturbed by outsiders. The old house has largely maintained its original appearance. Because of the increasing number of descendants, in order to accommodate more family members, it was only 20 years ago that a two-story triple-court house was added to the back of the old house. It is convenient for the ten sons to have a place to live when they come back. There are not many people living now, but every Lunar New Year, uncles, uncles and descendants from all over come to reunite, as many as hundreds of people. The Fan family brothers recalled that fathers demanded very strict education for their children. The elder Fan Guangxi once recalled that he could not agree with the corporal punishment of that era, but he understood that his father’s "severance of responsibility" implied "the depth of love." The Fan family brothers were very grateful for his father's request at that time. During the Japanese occupation era, every school would have a stone statue of "Ninomiya Zuntoku". He was a bitter scholar in Japanese history. He was from a poor family but was tireless in learning. The stone statue was carrying the felled wood on his back, holding a book in his hand, and reading while walking. Looks like. After the defeat of Japan, Fan Chaodeng's stone statue of Ninomiya Zuntoku donated to Pinglin branch school was invited out, so he was brought back to Gaopingtang, hoping that the children would follow "Ninomiya Zuntoku" as an example. There have been two typhoons that knocked down this stone statue. Fan Chaodeng drove steel nails and cemented it himself, repaired it like an orthopedic doctor, and made the stone statue stand up again. This stone statue is Fan Chaodeng's "teaching material" for educating his children.
