「復興一坑」礦區，原名叫做「那羅礦廠」，於民國四十年開始開採，因為煤層品質佳且自然外露，而四周更有公路跟台車鐵道等交通設備能直接抵達礦場，因此成為尖石鄉早年最大的煤礦開採區，曾經風光一時，日治時期的礦廠的職工更多達七百餘人，民國七十三年後，因為進口煤礦變便宜了，所以煤礦便逐漸沒落、廢棄。
現今有經營成香草復育基地。
