Deng Nanguang Image Memorial Hall - Deng Nanguang, whose real name is Deng Tenghui, was born in Beipu Township, Hsinchu in the 40th year of the Japanese occupation period (1907), and was a pioneer of photography in Taiwan during the Japanese occupation period. Together with Zhang Cai and Li Mingdiao, they are known as the "Three Musketeers of Photography" in contemporary Taiwanese photography circles. Deng Nanguang, whose real name is Deng Tenghui, once founded the Taiwan Photography Culture Association, and recorded his whole life, leaving a very precious asset for the history of Beipu. During the Japanese occupation period, Deng Nanguang began to contact photography when he was studying in the Economics Department of Hosei University in Japan. negatives. It is said that Deng Nanguang purchased a Leica A-type camera in Showa 11 (1933) in order to improve the quality of photography. At that time, the value of this camera was more than that of a commercial area. In 1924, Deng Nanguang went to Japan to study in a famous middle school. In 1929, he studied in the Department of Economics of Hosei University and participated in the local photo club. In 1931, he returned to Taiwan and returned to Beipu to marry Ms. Pan Qingmei. As a result of his love for photography during his study abroad, he became a photographer in 1935 and opened "Nanguang Photo Machine Shop" in Beijing, Taiping (now Boai Road), and started his life. Dedicated to photography, he uses realistic photography to record the contemporary style of Taiwan.
