The trail maintenance is now complete and open But there is still a lot of moss on the stones along the road Please be safe when hiking In addition, there are several mountain trails that can be steeply connected to the Wuzhi Mountain Trail, all of which are not easy to walk, and one of them is closed due to collapse I walked down one of them and thought it would be great not to slip...

This Wuzhishan horizontal trail was developed later. Originally, it was only a trail from the Jade Palace to the middle finger and from the Zhulin Temple through the thumb and index finger to the middle finger. Because the original trail was relatively difficult, it was not so suitable for the whole family to walk together, so this horizontal trail was opened, which is equivalent to opening a horizontal trail on the belly of Wuzhi Mountain, which is parallel to the trail to the top. The Wuzhi Mountain horizontal trail is not long, only about 1 kilometer. The left side can be connected to the Houtong Trail, the middle one can be connected directly to the middle finger trail, and the right side can be connected to the Zhulin Temple's summit trail. The whole path has little ups and downs, and it is very comfortable to walk. It is very suitable for forest bathing here.

There are three main entrances on the horizontal trail to Wuzhi Mountain. The first one is next to the Guanyin Temple below, the second one is Shoubei Palace on the mountain and the innermost Zhulin Temple. In addition to the horizontal trail, the Wuzhishan Trail can reach the famous Wuzhishan Mountains. The ups and downs along the road are very challenging, but when the weather is bad after the rain, the road is slippery and muddy. You should avoid going, or it is better to wear rain boots.

There are small stone monkeys marking the mileage along the horizontal hiking trail, which is very cute. The trail is very comfortable to walk, but there are a lot of little black mosquitoes. It is recommended to bring some anti-mosquito liquid

The car stopped at the Bamboo Forest Zen Garden and walked along the horizontal trail. There were many mosquitoes flying around in the front section, buzzing in my ears. Because of the moss on the stone road in the forest, you need to be careful when walking, although the stone has a thoughtful diamond-shaped engraving, the route is slippery. It would be nice to have a wooden plank road. In the middle, there is a path leading to the middle finger, which is surrounded by cloth strips, indicating that it is forbidden to pass. Continue to the first line of the monkey cave, walk on the monkey cave trail, do not listen, do not speak, do not look at the stone monkey route on the extension road, on the way to Guanyin Temple, the tung flowers are all over the ground, maybe on weekdays, they are just falling and no one steps on Pass. Continuing on the Beetle Rock Trail to Guanyin Temple is downhill. Going out of Guanyin Temple, take the asphalt road back to Zhulin Zen Garden and go uphill all the way. It took 4 and a half hours to even take a photo break. Although I read the comments that this route is easy, there are highs and lows to go. Fortunately, I saw a section of tung oil and a crystal orchid that no one has stepped on.

The Wuzhi Mountain Horizontal Trail mainly refers to a hiking trail from Wuzhishan Guanyin Temple to Shoubei Palace, with a total length of about 2 kilometers. There are large parking lots for free parking at both places. For example, starting from Guanyin Temple, you can see that the sign is the ecological hiking trail of Guanyin Temple in Wuzhishan, and the map shows it as the Golden Tortoise Rock Trail, named after the rock shaped like a turtle and covered with golden moss. The entrance is an uphill stairway section, and those who do not often climb should find it difficult. Today, starting from Shoubei Palace, there are fewer uphill steps, about 800 meters, and you can reach the first-line sky, which is the first-line sky trail in Monkey Cave. Legend has it that practitioners practiced in this cave. They found that the macaques on the mountain often could not find water to drink, so they spent several years building a stone tank with stones and containing rainwater for the macaques to quench their thirst, hence the name. For the monkey cave. The narrow stone steps here are about 34 meters long, and the rock walls on both sides are steep. The narrowest part is only about one person wide. It is like a boulder that has been straightly split in two. The scenery is amazing. On the way, you can turn to the Zhulin Temple and challenge the Wuzhi Mountain hiking trail. There are towering green shades along the Tianxiantian Trail, and it is not too hot to walk. However, there is a lot of moss on the wooden and stone steps, so you must walk carefully. Fortunately, there are engravings on the stone steps to prevent slipping, so it is not difficult to walk. Along the entire trail, there are many interesting stone carvings of macaques that can guide the way and indicate the mileage, which is quite distinctive. Since there is no turning back, take the Wuzhishan Road back to the Shoutian Temple parking lot to complete the O-shaped circle, which takes about 2.5 hours. Wuzhi Mountain is named after the peaks and peaks are connected, towering into the clouds, like the five fingers, and in the Qing Dynasty, it was named "Zhifeng Lingxiao", and it was one of the twelve scenic spots in Taiwan in the old days. A trip to the Monkey Cave One-Line Sky Trail is one of the good choices for traveling to Zhudong, Beipu or Wufeng.
