5/17中午來這邊吃，環境清靜，老闆娘很熱情，菜的份量很多，價格也合理，點了湯圓、白斬雞、荷蘭豆炒套Q、薑絲大腸、炸蝦跟客家小炒，菜做得非常入味，4個人吃還剩很多，這份量吃個2餐都不是問題，金額總共2300元，已經來很多次了，下次還會來

在地人推薦的，道地的客家菜。 有得獎的餐廳。 每一道菜的份量都很足夠，可以吃得很飽，而且好吃。豬腳滷的很嫩，也不會油膩。

Oh my goodness. Where to begin? We have an annual family meal at the end of April, and there are fourteen of us (and a baby). So we always take care to check when we book, and make sure they have a suitable table. The lao ban assured us that they had a table large enough. He lied. So we arrive, and find ourselves squashed around a table for 12. We're early, though, so at that point four of us weren't also crushed against the backs of the people around a horrifically proximate table. They had bucked the tradition of providing chairs in restaurants, instead providing wobbly, diminutive stools. But with our table needing extra chairs, we had two plastic garden chairs added, which was nice. At one point, naturally, our baby needed a quick retreat from the table. At that time, another group arrived, and the lao ban wasted no time in whisking away our baby chair before we could say anything, so that the new family could ostracize their (gormless but pleasantly quiet) unibrow three-year-old. The table itself, besides being too small, was one of those adequate rotating-center tables that are popular in Taiwan. They generally work fine.... Assuming that the center does not rotate of its own accord, that is. So every food-grab required a hand to keep the plate of food from escaping, too. Add most rice refills required either half a dozen people standing and moving to make space, or the poor three people sat closest to the rice on full-time rice duty. And we haven't even got to the food yet. To be fair, it was fine. The pork was a little dry, the cabbage flavorless, and so was the tripe (although in the second case, that may have been a blessing). Mediocre. But, yes, you read that correctly - at nearly $300 a head, they served a plate of tripe. One assumes it was a last-minute replacement due to a delayed caviar shipment. So, the food gets three stars, and the price gets one star, giving us a score of two. But the overcrowding and the dick lao ban drops it down to one.
