在1777年（乾隆四十一年）時，黃科文帶著兒子來台，後成為當地首富，第四代於1887年（光緒十三年）創建江夏科文祖堂，後陸續增建，終成目前祖堂規模，其中江夏是黃氏堂號，而科文是開台始祖黃科文的名字，該建築目前已被列為歷史建築。這裡雖不是什麼熱門景點，但喜歡古厝的可順道一遊。

In 1777 (the 41st year of Emperor Qianlong), Huang Kewen brought his son to Taiwan, and later became the richest man in the local area. The fourth generation founded the Jiangxia Kewenzu Hall in 1887 (the thirteenth year of Guangxu), which was gradually added. It finally became the current ancestral hall, where Jiangxia is the name of Huang's hall, and Kewen is the name of Huang Kewen, the founder of the stage. The building is currently listed as a historical building. Although it is not a popular attraction, those who like the ancient house can take a trip.
