Yonghe Palace is located in Daping Village, Longtan. The place of Daping is a traditional Hakka settlement. The faith center of the entire Daping settlement is Yonghe Palace, founded in Daoguangnian. In the history of the expansion of Longtan, in the reclamation route of the Longtan area, because Daping was relatively close to the mountainous area, in the early years, Hakka immigrants recruited Yong Yong to set up a defense station in order to prevent the attacks of the aborigines in the nearby mountainous areas and to be able to cultivate more safely. Therefore, there was the appearance of Dapingyu, so the settlement was similar to a honeycomb layout. The entire settlement of Daping presents a highly defensive feature. It belongs to a closed settlement. The houses are not only low, but even the lanes are very narrow and crooked. This pattern was designed to defend the mountain aborigines. As a result of the defensive factors, the development of Daping Village has been greatly hindered. According to Zhong Tianzhang, the old village chief of Daping Village, the central belief of Daping is Yonghe Temple, which worships the founding of the Emperor Sanguan during the Daoguang period, and has a history of more than 100 years.
