The ancestors who came to the top of the mountain to cultivate in the early days enshrined four Kaiki uncles, called the four great uncles, in the four corners of this place to protect the people and the harvest. There are many fields on the top of the mountain, but only these four lands The fathers (Uncle Uedian, Uncle Uedian Liao, Uncle Zhanjia of Gaorongli Houhu, Uncle Liugu) will be invited to the palace to worship and watch the play together during the two-year ritual performance of the Qiming Palace. Among the four great uncles, Uncle Shangtian Liao is located at the 13th neighbor of Gaorongli, also known as Uncle Huangwu, because it is located next to the Huang Family Ancestral Hall and adjacent to Dazhen. At that time, Mr. Huang Yuanwan donated land for the construction of the base, which was named Uncle Shangtian. In the beginning, there was no statue of Uncle Gong, and only three large stones were enshrined on the ground to pray for the Lord’s blessing. Later generations only carved it when they were rebuilt. In the second year of the Showa era (1927), local people raised funds to build a simple palace body and housed the uncle, which was the first reconstruction.
