The Yangmei Story Park was originally the former residence of the local gentry Zhang Fangjie. Due to the lack of people's livelihood and the government's financial constraints in the early post-war period, Mr. Zhang Fangjie, a local gentry, was increasingly studying in the local area, and there were few secondary schools. In order to "build the school independently", he founded Yangmei Middle School and was assigned as the first principal. During the period from 1953 to 1968, when Principal Zhang served as the principal of Yangmei Middle School, he and his family lived here. He didn't move out until he retired in 1957. Principal Zhang Fangjie's dormitory is a garden-style building with a clean environment and was registered as a historical building in 101. The Story Museum not only revitalizes the old buildings, but also hopes to increase the art and culture space for Yangmei. By looking for old photos and the oral history of the elderly, it organizes a number of art and cultural activities, hoping to continue the school spirit of President Zhang Fangjie and rebuild the local stories of Yangmei.
