★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 清初乾隆年間，范姜一氏來臺拓墾，取得墾照，建立「姜勝本墾號」後，逐步向內地開拓廣大土地
咸豐四年（西元1854年）興建祖堂，其後陸續起造不少新屋，當地人引為盛事，以客語稱其為「起新屋」。因此「新屋」便成為當地的地名，沿用至今。
原有九棟古，厝現存五棟。
第一幢:1762年(范姜觀音寺)
第二幢:光緒年間
第三幢: 光緒年間
第四幢: 光緒年間
第五幢:1855年完成(范姜祖堂)
 During the Qianlong period of the early Qing Dynasty, Fan Jiangyi's family came to Taiwan to develop cultivation and obtained the license. After the establishment of the "Jiang Shengbenken", he gradually opened up vast land in the mainland
In the fourth year of Xianfeng (1854), the ancestral hall was built, and then many new houses were built. The locals cited it as a grand event and called it "Qixinwu" in Hakka. Therefore, "Xinwu" became the local place name and it is still used today.
There are nine old buildings in the original, and five buildings are still in existence.
The first building: 1762 (Fan Jiang Guanyin Temple)
Building 2: During the Guangxu period
Building 3: During the Guangxu period
Building 4: During the Guangxu period
Fifth Building: Completed in 1855 (Fan Jiangzu Hall)

可看看資料了解霸下馱碑及前後簷八仙女，豐富了知識，也獲得心靈幽靜。家人走走看看不錯。之後可繼續走訪范姜老屋
