★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 清光緒6年（1880年）先賢劉深淵先生從大陸泉州府鳳山寺奉請保安廣澤尊王渡海來台，行至此地保安廣澤尊王即不願再離去，經焚香擲杯請示，廣澤尊王欲留在此地，故在此建一草廟供奉保安廣澤尊王，清光緒20年（1894年），由龍崗里、白鷺茄苳，崁仔腳（內壢），十股寮（興仁）四大庄頭仕紳捐獻建廟，廟名為「鴻撫宮」。
桃園鴻撫宮昔稱飯店廟，所在地點為崁仔腳（今為桃園市、八德市、中壢市三市之交匯處），是南北往來行旅的重要歇腳點，清代「大官道」經此，在此用餐歇腳的旅客眾多，飯店（餐館）也隨之建蓋，鴻撫宮自然也成為眾所俗稱之「飯店廟」。

Taoyuan Hongfu Palace was once called the hotel temple. The location is the Taipa foot (now the intersection of Taoyuan City, Bade City and Zhongli City). It is an important resting point for the trips between the north and the south. As a result, there are many tourists who have a rest in this restaurant, and restaurants (restaurants) have also been built. The Hongfu Palace has naturally become a popular "hotel temple."
