In order to preserve the historical building style of "Meihe Villa", 4 phases of restoration projects are planned. The first 3 phases have been completed so far. The 2nd and 3rd phases of restoration projects completed today are mainly on the left and right inner and outer dragons, and traditional roofing is carried out. , White-gray walls, wooden doors and windows, etc., in the future, we will continue to strive for central funding to promote the fourth phase of the restoration project, and open the "corner bookstore" and some spaces for the public to visit by appointment. The history of development and the future will also be able to connect the surrounding traffic and scenic spots, becoming an important tourism highlight of the Beiheng National Scenic Area plan. The Lin’s House "Meihe Villa", located in Daxi Tuliao, was built in CE 1869 in the late Qing Dynasty. It was raised by Lin Dengyun as the manager of Lin Benyuan (Banqiao Lin’s) Datongkan Rental Hall. It has a history of more than 100 years. It is registered as a historical building in 1993. The history of the Lin family is not only a microcosm of the development of Daxi, but also a local cultural asset and an important Taiwan history. memory. In order to solve the problems of "Meihe Villa" due to disrepair for a long time, the roof seepage, cracking and tilting, and serious insect damage to the roof truss, etc., a phased repair project was carried out. The first phase of the main body (including the upper and lower halls) restoration project cost about 35.76 million yuan, and the restoration was completed in November 105; the second and third phases of the left and right internal and external dragon protection renovation projects cost about 70.28 million yuan. Rehabilitation is carried out based on the principle of repairing the old appearance and meeting the needs of the owner. The project includes: removing worn-out tiles and metal roofs, and using traditional construction methods to restore them to slab roofs; dismantling improper building additions, repainting white ash, and restoring The traditional layout of Meihe Villa; the large wooden components that can be used are retained, the components that are seriously moth-eaten are replaced, and the anti-corrosion treatment is strengthened; the small wooden doors and windows are overhauled, the indoor lighting equipment is improved, and the electrical and drainage systems of each household are integrated. Finished. In addition, the planning and design of the fourth phase of the repairing project of the third right dragon building has been completed, and will continue to seek subsidies from the Cultural Resources Bureau of the Ministry of Culture.

Meihe Villa, adjacent to Touliao Lake, is the ancestral home of Lin Xida, the former mayor of Daxi, and the grandmother of the county mayor, Mr. Zhu Lilun. It was built around the early Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty. It has a history of more than 100 years and is worth visiting. There are still descendants of the Lin family living in it; its straight roof, white wattled house wall, and stone wall base are made with the architectural style of Eastern Guangdong. Over time, its solid and imposing house appearance becomes more and more primitive.
