There are two Dragon Phoenix Palaces in Zhunan. This octagonal temple, Dragon Phoenix Palace, should be an old temple; Aunt Mazu Dragon Phoenix Palace is a reconstruction. Zhunan Zhonggang Longfeng Temple is dedicated to the Goddess of Heaven. According to records, people from the Xihe River in southern Fujian came to Taiwan with three statues of Mazu, but they landed in China and Hong Kong due to a storm, and temporarily lived in eleven families in the same town. A few fellow villagers left for some reason and did not return. On the eleventh, they built a hut at the current site to worship the three virgins. On the way back, he encountered a storm, and the Virgin appeared as a refuge to save the family. Blessed by the Virgin, in the following year (1832), in order to thank God for grace, fasting and bathing, and Xie Zhangtian respectfully invited the statue of the Virgin to make a special trip to Meizhou for incense, and in accordance with the instructions of the Virgin, the King of Fujian and Marshal Dabao returned with the Virgin. Taiwan worship. In the 11th year of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty (1885), Lian Shi and his son Lian Alan, because the temple was too simple, worked with Xie Zhangtian and other benefactors to rebuild it in a larger scale and renamed it "Dragon Phoenix Palace". In the 53rd year of the Republic of China, due to the majesty of the Virgin Mary, the number of believers and the incense flourishing, all the good believers thought that the temple was too narrow and insufficient for use, and proposed to rebuild it. The land was donated by Chen Shuijin and Chen Adan, Xie Rongzhi was responsible for the preparation and construction, and the gentry provided the map for reference, and the gossip-shaped palace was built, which became a unique local temple. The temple was rebuilt in 1976 as the current temple. There is an episode in Zhunan: this temple has a longer history than the Houcuo Longfeng Palace; according to the local elders, in the 35 years of the Republic of China, the two temples went to Meizhou together to visit the ancestral temple, and the incense from Houcuo Longfeng Palace to Meizhou was caused by wind and waves. It was too big and went out. After returning to Taiwan, he once went to the palace to ignite the fire and returned to the palace to worship, but the Houcuo Longfeng Palace categorically denied it. The three virgins in the town hall are the founding mothers who came to Taiwan from the mainland during the Daoguang period of the Qing Dynasty.
