★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 苗栗神社日治時期屬於縣社，建於1938年，位置於貓裏山公園內，在坡地上俯瞰、守護當時的苗栗縣，建築樣式為神民造，和風味濃厚。但爾後遭國民政府拆除，改建為中國北方宮殿式的忠烈祠。目前僅剩參道、階梯及石燈籠基座保留，讓人推測當時的神社佈局，想像它的莊嚴。
Miaoli Shrine belongs to the prefecture during the Japanese rule. It was built in 1938 and is located in Maolishan Park. It overlooks and protects the then Miaoli County on a slope. The architectural style is made by the people and has a strong flavor. However, it was later demolished by the National Government and rebuilt into a palace-like martyrdom in northern China. At present, only the remaining paths, stairs and stone lantern bases are reserved, which makes people speculate on the layout of the shrine at the time and imagine its solemnity.
