維祥福德宮

The old place name "Weixiangzhuang" includes the present Weixiangli and Weixinli. The origin of the name comes from the east side of the Miaoli Theatre and Changhua Bank. In the Qing Dynasty, the landlord of Tang’s name was surrounded by walls. The land inside the wall was called “Wall Wall”. The land in the east was called “Wall Wall”. Changed to the word "Vianxiang". In the 16th year of Daoguang (1836), the homesick Xie Zhiyuan, Yang Ruiding, He Shaoduan and others donated more than 100 yuan of silver. The repaired Mangfu Weixiang went straight to the street of Xinjiekou, about one foot wide. In the fifteenth year of Guangxu (1889), after the county was established in Miaoli, it was the main road leading to Nanmiao County. In the fifteen years before the people, the streets of Miaoli City were rebuilt and decadent. The location of the street is now difficult to identify, but there is a stone monument to repair the donation of silver, which is erected in Weixiangford.
