衛生所斜對面的水頭伯公，水頭名稱由來有三: 一說因此處為沙河轉彎處，在廟下有一涵洞導引沙河河水，供崁下的稻田灌溉之用，為水源區，故稱水頭。二說此處是沙河進人頭屋的第一站，故曰水頭。另一說則以為伯公可鎮住往沙河直衝而來的煞氣，故稱水頭。
