Walk past Xiangshan Confucian Temple, pass by the deserted democratic Yinglie Park, and continue up to reach Yuheng Palace. Sinology is on fire. At the end of the Japanese occupation, the Japanese suppressed the Tao and promoted the Buddha. The Yuheng Palace was also affected. Later it was renamed Confucius Temple. After the restoration of Taiwan, the poet Mo Ke gathered to chant, creating a poetry society, striking together with chanting, and writing style. The place where the Confucius Temple is located, because of the high terrain, the horizon is extremely broad, looking from the west, the flat fields and green fields of the Miaoli Basin have a magnificent panoramic view. Every year on Teachers' Day, all circles in Miaoli County hold a memorial ceremony for Confuciuses in order to show respect for the Most Holy Teacher. The temple building is made by the famous architect Mr. Xie Yunde. The simple shape with delicate beauty. The elephants and flying phoenix sculptures in the front porch reflect the pictographic mountain range and the legend of the phoenix cave. It is unique in Taiwan ’s temple architecture.
