It is a multi-functional place for long-term lectures and lotus studies of Buddhism. Under the special circumstances, the 46th year of the Republic of China (1957) finally purchased the soda factory located at the intersection of Liuchuan West Road and Minzu Road in the Central District of Taichung City. It was originally a soda factory with an area of ​​nearly 500 pings. The factory building and office have been renovated, including the library, office, reading room, lecture hall, courtyard, release pool and other equipment, and become the "Taichung Private Ciguang Library", and served on the Ministry of Education on September 6 of the same year. Approved and established. A board of directors was immediately formed, registered with the Taichung District Court, approved for registration on October 5 of the same year, and was granted a legal person registration certificate. As a result, the activities of book purchase, collection, donation, and various preparatory work were warmly promoted, and the Ciguang Library officially opened on the 25th of May of the following year (1956) and the 7th of the lunar calendar.
