★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As a possibly dive-y looking place, I probably wouldn't have set foot in here if not for the recommendation of some locals. Thanks goodness I braved the narrow whitewashed basement along with some girl friends. It was a perfect end to our humid summer night.
We had the mango ice which was definitely not shabby at all at 80ntd a pop. I even insisted on a round 2 with a taro red bean sago shaved ice. Definitely worth going. Definitely worth returning to.
[hint: aircon is much better in aforementioned whitewashed basement]

點頭 means nod your head (as in agreement)
Their signature shaved ice comes with seasonal fruits, condensed milk , and a dollop of sweet sticky black rice on top of shaved ice! Yum!!!
Also fantastic is the mango shaved ice during summer when mangoes are at their sweetest.
So come and have a bowl and you will see that you will nod your head too after eating their amazing shaved ice.
Note: They are only open during spring/summer to late fall (April - Nov/Dec). So for now we have to wait til April 2016

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the best shaved ice in Taichung. It's very tasty and healthy!!! Highly recommended. Be aware that this place closes during winter time (around Sep/Oct through to March/April).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We came at 10:30 and got the signature nod head ice.
The nod head ice is precut fruit (guava, watermelon, apple slices..) they were cut in quite big pieces and hard to eat (why not smaller chunks?) the fruits were quite unfresh too. You could taste the staleness. The size is adequate and topped with black sticky rice and condensed milk.
Overrated.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I don't know what makes this place so much better than any other shaved ice place on the island... But it's hands down my favorite. Chris, his family, and staff are friendly and fast.
I've been going here for 9 years now. I cry every Halloween day, as I take the last bite of their shaved ice until they reopen in March/April, the next year. **Was hoping they'd stay open another month since they reopened a month later this year because of covid**

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cheap and delicious, portion is also pretty big. Both the mango and their signature "nod head ice" (literally) surely do make me nod in agreement. Both can be a little too sweet though, they're not only generous with the fruits but also the condensed milk ? parking can be an issue during weekends
