before, i dont eat taiwan soup that has a flavor of ginseng or what do you call that like medicine etc.,but when my husband take me here to eat.. oh i really like it!

You're wandering down a typical Taichung street on a cool, breezy day when the wind carries the scent of something incredibly savory and aromatic into your presence. Intrigued, you follow your nose and come upon a small shack situated on the corner of an awkwardly constructed intersection (unsurprising of Taiwanese architecture). Displayed out front for all to see (and smell) are a wide stretch of earthen pots brewing what you can only assume to be rich, hearty stew. Your stomach urges you to the front counter to try and order a bowl to try. To your demise, you are greeted by a fat woman who looks, and acts, like she wakes up on the wrong side of the bed- every. day. of. her. life. She impatiently asks you what you want to order, and as you're trying to figure out the answer to that question, she increases her volume by decibel per second and very soon you realize you are being very angrily yelled at. The voice in the back of your mind starts commenting at you "this was a mistake. Abort, abort". You hurridly quell the thoughts and order the first item on the menu. You order take-out so as to not be in such a toxic environment any longer than necessary. The shopkeeper takes your money, but is clearly still discontent with you, just as she must be discontent with multitudes of things in her life. You eventually receive your order, but of course not before being aggressively hollered at by the shopkeeper again. You go home and eat in peace. The stew is good, but has a weird hint of sour from the terrible experience that just occured. You tell yourself you ought to never go there again, and draw up your trusty quill to leave a notice for fellow travelers to beware. TLDR: if you like getting yelled at by a woman that could use a solid introduction to anger-management classes, then go ahead and give this place a shot. Otherwise, there are plenty of other restaurants better worth your time, and appetite.

Soup is 甘甜 and not too much of Chinese meds favor. Ribs is tasty and soft. The port rice is too fatty but this is supposed to be the very traditional style.
