★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had great expectations as we read great reviews for Ding Wang on the internet. Completely disappointed with the quality of food, service and the price.
Soup base was charged per person and they charge extra if you decide to go with two types of soup base in one pot. Food was extremely expensive for the quality. Beef was so stringy and hard to chew. Food variety was very limited.
As for service, the staffs kept bowing to us even after refilling our soup. It felt very mechanical, and does not make us feel comfortable at all.
Spent about 1500TWD and we only ordered one plate of pork, one plate of beef, and some vegetables. Save your money and dine at Haidilao instead.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The service and food quality are going down. I visited this hot pot restaurant while I back Taiwan every year. They are famous on their lovely service, and unlimited refill duck blood and tofu. In recent visit, the server looked unhappy to serve my table, moreover, they even whisper in front of me when I was ordering my meal. It's uncomfortable feeling. Hope you can get your reputation again.

This is the best place to visit for supper as they open till late
Ding Wang standard is the same throughout the branches I've visited, though the absolute favourite is still Qi Xian branch in Kaohsiung.
Though the food can be pricey, but given the quality of the food and the level of service provided, it's well worth it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The price is not cheap but you can feel the service and food quality. They offer free tea and rice. Unlimited cabbage and tofu. Also, when you are leaving they will ask you if you want to take away. Overall it's good. We had a good meal here
