★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It claims to be a chef from Ding Tai Fung. The menu is similar. The food is pretty common in taste. I heard good things about the dumplings but every time I got there, they were out of them, so I reserve my final judgment until I try them out.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ if you like Din Tai Fung but not the long wait or high prices - go here; pretty much same menu, very good quality , so far I never had to wait to get seated, and prices are maybe 15% or more cheaper than Din Tai Fung; also the interior and ambience is more to my liking. they have English menu with pictures, staff does usually not speak English but never had an issue getting my order in. if I want to eat Xiao Long Bao I go here. best place I know in Taichung for this kind of food

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ For those who do not want to wait in line for Din Tai Fung, this is a great alternative. Rumor has it that this restaurant is opened and operated by one of the old Din Tai Fung chefs, so the menu is almost identical, except it does not have as many appetizers as Din Tai Fung. The service is not exceptional but workable, the parking is equally horrid to the Top City, but you can make reservation, the pricing is about the same, and you get the same if not better food!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the second time I come here and the food is actually really good! The environment is a bit small but clean and welcoming. The quality of xiaolong bao is really much better than average, the noodles are good too. Both quality and quantity are well balanced! Recommend the sour spicy soup to those who likes it, Super good!!
