K	Katja Seeland on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I visited to adopt a dog as a foreigner. Was positively surprised about the shelter. The staff seemed to be very respectful, calm and sensitive with the animals. The atmosphere in the shelter was super relaxed and simply comfortable. There is a very professional and dedicated vet at site. They did take very good care of the dog I adopted, also from a health care point of view. I found it amazing that they do play "through-a-dog s-ear-music" throughout the shelter for the dogs in order to calm them down. From what I could observe, the kennels were very well-maintained, very clean and also of different style: Some had and indoor and outdoor area and housed several dogs together, some were rather quarantine-like kennels but "open-air" and others were only surrounded by a fence, equipped with wooden dog houses and a meadow ground...a bit garden-like. They have a big play area for puppies, so they can socialize and run free. The same is true for larger dogs. There is a training room for staff and visitors, so they do lectures and training sessions on animal education and proper caretaking which I highly appriciate!!! The shelter is in a rather remote area, with a park area/ forest around. It is definitely worth a visit or a nice place to volunteer!!! I hope they will keep up the good work!!!
