In the early days, the Dali River was so turbulent that it is hard to imagine. At that time, the width of the Dali River was almost one kilometer away. In Lugang, Changhua County and Beitou Village, Nantou County, bamboo rafts entered Dali River from Dadu River. Nowadays, near Dali Junior High School, the raft must be tied to a small wooden tree so that it will not be washed away by the stream when it reaches the pier. Therefore, the place name "Dalizhu" is formed. At that time, because many Han people used the ships to do business here, small villages gradually formed, called "ferry head" in ancient times, and its location is now "Old Street".
