只能從四季溫泉旅館這頭往上前往
到了至高點觀景亭後，就必須原路返回了
對第一次嘗試這條步道的健行者來說
有點陡的階梯和大角度往上的步道非常耗體力
建議斟酌自己的體能，中途隨時找平台休憩
一定要穿著運動鞋或是越野鞋
帶一點飲用水，先上廁所（上面沒有廁所

這是一條有一點點難度的步道
不建議您臨時起意，只穿著休閒涼鞋或是跟鞋，拿著一杯超商咖啡，愜意的想登上觀景亭⋯這不切實際呀呀呀⋯

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 感謝超不喜歡爬山的女王，假日願意早起陪我來爬爬山，對於這個幾乎隱身在林蔭樹下的步道完全可以，路程剛好不會太長，從四季溫泉飯店旁的步道入口到觀景台，來回不到2公里，搭配谷關明治溫泉飯店後方很有日本味的小路街景，是個很棒的谷關半日遊，回程台中時，中午再到東勢小鎮享用在地美食，滿意。

這個觀景亭是捎來步道的至高點，同時也是波津加山步道的起點，雖然坐在涼亭裡很舒服，但是蚊子還蠻多的，如果想要上來的朋友，建議您防蚊蟲的工作絕對不能少。
