日本時代昭和10年（1935年）
「關刀山大地震」（新竹臺中大地震）之紀念碑，
是在921地震之前，臺灣最強之地震，死傷亦慘重。
此碑乃憑弔此次災難，引以為鑑。
台中市除神岡以外，尚有三處：
后里區公所旁「大震災內埔庄殉難者追悼碑」
舊泰安車站鐵橋旁設「臺中線震災復興紀念碑」
清水區鰲峰里大街路130號對面原社參道旁「清水街震災紀念碑」
Located in a small park next to Shengang Health Center,
Japanese era Showa 10 (1935)
The monument of "Guandaoshan Earthquake" (Hsinchu Taichung Earthquake),
It was the strongest earthquake in Taiwan before the 921 earthquake, with heavy casualties.
This monument is a tribute to the disaster, as a lesson.
In addition to Shengang, Taichung City has three places:
"Memorial Monument for the Martyrs of Puzhuang in the Great Earthquake" next to the Houli District Office
The "Taichung Line Earthquake Disaster Reconstruction Monument" is located next to the iron bridge of the old Tai'an Station
"Qingshui Street Earthquake Disaster Monument" on the opposite side of No. 130 Aofengli Avenue Road, Qingshui District
