歷史沿革:
雍正2年年間[西元1724]漳州陳姓先民自中國原鄉渡海來台,為求航行平安。至漳州府金浦縣龍頭堡蜈蚣山迎請池府三王,並至廈門鈴仔堡二王爺街隨行,順利登岸後。
於塗葛窟牛埔仔庄定居,並至南鯤鯓代天府迎請朱府王爺為大王,合稱「牛埔三府王爺」。
而永順宮薛四王及吳五王,又有另一典故,地方相傳薛府千歲原供奉於臺中東勢,後因溪水高漲,廟宇流失,因而寄放於巧聖先師廟,吳府千歲則為清水高美文興宮所供奉之王爺;
某日,一位信徒至東勢請走薛府千歲後,又至清水請走吳府千歲,但到牛埔仔要偷請池府千歲時,被路過民眾發現,倉皇逃跑,得手之神像也未能帶離,當地居民認為這是薛、吳兩位王爺同受玉旨到牛埔庄坐鎮,輔佐三府王爺代天巡狩,遂合稱為「牛埔五府千歲」。
光緒11年(西元1885),王爺降乩指示牛埔仔庄將會流失,乃遷徙至崁仔頂,並由龍井南寮信徒提供茅草,於永順宮現址重建廟宇,才得以避開明治44年(西元1911)塗葛窟流庄的命運。
明治29年(西元1896)奉旨代天巡狩四個月,巡狩虎尾溪以北、大甲溪以南、東至中央山脈、西至海岸的彰化縣轄境,巡狩完畢後,迫於時局未能舉行送王儀式,該批巡狩王爺神像、
文武主帥、3對劍童印童,以及36尊兵將乃於該宮供奉迄今。
昭和5年(西元1930)翻修屋頂及建設左右廂室,現廟於民國63年(1974)重建。
民國68年(西元1979)落成,民國71年(1982)購廟前500坪土地建活動中心及村民集會所。
民國86年(西元1997)再購廟埕左側400餘坪土地,民國93年(2004)興建辦公大樓,始具今貌。
Founded in 1724
Historical evolution:
In the 2nd year of Yongzheng [AD 1724], the ancestors of Zhangzhou's surname Chen crossed the sea from China's original hometown to Taiwan for safe navigation. We went to Longtoubao Centipede Mountain in Jinpu County, Zhangzhou Prefecture to welcome the Three Kings of Chifu, and went to the Second Wangye Street of Lingzaibao, Xiamen, after successfully landing.
Settled in Niupu Zizhuang in Tuge Caves, and went to Nankunyandai Tianfu to invite the prince of Zhu's residence as the great king, collectively known as "the princes of the three residences of Niupu".
The Four Kings Xue and the Five Kings of Wu in Yongshun Palace have another allusion. According to local legend, the Thousands of the Xue Mansion was originally enshrined in Taiwan’s Middle East, but was placed in the Qiaosheng Xianshi Temple due to the rising of the stream and the loss of the temple. The prince enshrined in Qingshui Gaomei Wenxing Palace;
One day, after a believer went to the east to ask for the Chitose of Xue Mansion, and then to Qingshui to ask for Chitose of the Wu Mansion, but when Niu Puzai wanted to steal the Chitose of Chi Mansion, he was discovered by passing people and fled in a hurry. It was possible to take it away. The local residents believed that it was the two princes Xue and Wu who came to Niupuzhuang together under the decree of jade, and assisted the princes of the three prefectures to hunt the sky on behalf of the princes of the three prefectures.
In the 11th year of Guangxu (1885), the prince instructed Niupu Zhuangzhuang to be lost, but moved to Kanzaiding. The worshipers in Longjing Nanliao provided thatch and rebuilt the temple at the current site of Yongshun Palace to avoid Meiji. The fate of Tugeku Liuzhuang in 44 years (1911).
In the 29th year of Meiji (1896), it was ordered to patrol the sky for four months, patrolling the territory of Changhua County north of Huwei River, south of Dajia River, east to the Central Mountain Range, and west to the coast. In the current situation, the ceremony of sending off the king failed to be held.
The civil and military commander, 3 pairs of Jiantong Yintong, and 36 soldiers have been enshrined in the palace so far.
In Showa 5 (1930), the roof was renovated and the left and right chambers were built. The current temple was rebuilt in 1974.
It was completed in 1968 (1979). In 1982 (1982), it purchased 500 square meters of land in front of the temple to build an activity center and villagers' assembly.
In the Republic of China in 1986 (1997), more than 400 square meters of land on the left side of the temple were purchased. In the Republic of China in 1993 (2004), an office building was built, which began to take shape.
