Datian Palace, dedicated to Fude Zhengshen, was founded in Daoguang 27th year (1847). The original site was in front of the Wuqi Gong School (now the Bank of Taiwan) during the Japanese occupation. The incense was flourishing. Every Mid-Autumn Festival held a ceremony to welcome the gods. In the autumn of the fourteenth year of the Taisho era (1925), there was a big fire at the end of the street, and more than 90 houses were burned. The fishermen's house behind the temple hindered fire and traffic. The government took the opportunity to widen the road to reach the Caopu tribe. The temple was moved to the current site, and Dazun Palace on Dingheng Street also moved, but it was abandoned because there was no place to build it. Therefore, Datian Palace is the god of worship in the whole street. When roads were built in the idle port of Taichung Port, the land mark was raised, and the temple site was low-lying, and then reclaimed and rebuilt. The pavilion, pilgrim room, dragon pillar, stone lion, performance stage, etc. were gradually expanded. The construction was completed in 1976.
