Old school atmosphere, cheap prices and one of those locals-only spots.
Had their signature sticky rice w/ fatty pork cooked in bamboo...thing, meatball soup and wontons on bean sprouts. Each one was crazy good and you should probably eat everything here.

Migao is steamed sticky rice covered with some meat and spicy sauce. It seems to be a favourite in Chingshui district and you can find many restaurants selling Migao in this area.
This particular restaurant is the most popular Migao shop amongst the locals and are often packed with people. The food can be a bit greasy for my taste but good every once in a while.
It can be hard to find parking if you are in a car, but no problem on mopeds.
This place has been serving Migao for decades. A good place to try local food.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There’s always a queue fortunately the line also always moves fast yet the texture and flavor of the rice cake was not as impressive as expected and it is assumed to be overrated. The sticky rice itself was not cooked in a chewy way and the rice cake as a whole was not really coming together (hard to put into words) but simply the texture was not in the most ideal way. Moreover the flavor was just okay, the sauce was okay, there’s just nothing standing out of the rice cake. I wouldn’t recommend to visit purposely yet if you happened to stop by, you may consider grab a bite since the price was pretty acceptable and overall it is still a okay option.
