我們購買的則是新鮮的芋頭，通常都是在市場購買，挑選芋頭都是選切面不乾的為主選。
但來到大甲一定要買芋頭，挑選芋頭時不像市場乾了切一些隔天繼續賣，是一整個完整的芋頭，熊熊不知道怎麼挑選，只好…以貌取芋頭，闆娘看到告訴我，我挑到兩天前採收的，細心的闆娘教我如何挑選當天採收的芋頭，及保存方法，果然…當日採收的芋頭好吃到沒話說。???

拉開門，跨進芋頭冰的世界，冰櫃裏滿滿各式口味的冰棒及冰淇淋。既然來到芋頭冰，來到大甲，自然必嚐芋頭口味。
撕開包裝，輕咬一口，實在、簡單、清楚的芋頭就在口舌間融化散開。
回頭一瞥，老板老板娘還在一旁把大包大包的芋頭切角備料。
難怪，門面不用太搶戲，一直出出入入的在地人、過路客，就足以代表店家的功力。
